Leasing Terms & Conditions
1) Payment:
a) Terms of payment will be calculated at THREE MONTHS LEASE CHARGES PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. The first payment must be made at
the time of delivery of the lease vehicle and thereafter every three months in advance.
b) Should payments default IMPALA reserves the right to either:
Refuses to give a lease replacement vehicle against the vehicle being serviced or repaired in which case any costs
incurred for the damage to the lease vehicle will be to the lessee's account; and, or:
To repossess the vehicle without prior notice.
2) Insurance:
The vehicle will be comprehensively insured by IMPALA and will include unlimited Third Party Liability in respect of death
and bodily injury in accordance with UAE law.
The lessee will be responsible for the payment of the first Dirhams 2000 for any damage repair costs to the lease vehicle
which cannot be recovered against a third party except where Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) has been accepted and purchased by
the lessee.
Additional Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) cover for the drivers and passengers in respect of death or bodily injury whilst
in the lease vehicle will apply if this option has been purchased by the lessee.
3) Accidents:
In the event of any damage or accident to the lease or lease replacement vehicle, the police must be called before the
vehicle is removed and a police report and repair slip obtained. Should these documents not be obtained then the lessee will
be responsible for repair costs of all damage incurred. The obtaining of these documents will be the responsibility of the
lessee.
4) Maintenance:
The lease charge includes routine servicing firstly at 1000 kilometer, then 3000 kilometers and thereafter at the earliest
10000 kilometers. Repair costs resulting from normal wear and tear are also included in the lease charge. Additional costs
for servicing or repairs required as a result of driver's negligence will be to the lessee's account. The lessee will
arrange with IMPALA office for the lease vehicle to be serviced at the appropriate times, giving IMPALA 24 hours notice of
such requirement.
5) Routine Checks:
It is the lessee's responsibility to ensure that the oil, water and other fluid levels, and tyre pressures are regularly
checked and any costs incurred in this respect will be borne by the lessee. Failure to, carry out these checks could result
in damage to the vehicle in which case the lessee will be responsible for all repair costs incurred. The lessee agress to
keep the vehicle regularly cleaned.
6) Tyres:
The tyres of the leased vehicle will be replaced as necessary resulting from normal usage. Tyre replacement due to negligence
and punctures will be at the lessee's expense and a replacement vehicle will not be provided.
7) Traffic Violations:
Fines or other expenses incurred through traffic violations committed during the term of the lease will be the lessee's
responsibility irrespective of any time delays of notification to IMPALA by the UAE authorities.
8) Replacement vehicle:
IMPALA will provide a replacement vehicle for the duration of maintenance and servicing of the lease vehicle. The replacement
vehicle supplied will be subject to availability.
A replacement vehicle for any damaged vehicle can only be supplied following the submission of a police report and repair
slip to IMPALA. Lease vehicles requiring a general service only will not be accepted on a Wednsday or Thursday, or two
days prior to public holidays due to the operational constraints of service centres.
Once advised by IMPALA that the lease vehicle is ready for collection it will be the lessee's responsibility to collect the
vehicle within 24 hours, failing which the lessee will be liable to pay additional charges at the rate applicable for the
period default.
9) Petrol:
Petrol used in lease and lease replacement vehicle will be charged to the lessee.
10) Delivery and collection of lease and lease replacement vehicles:
Vehicles may be collected and delivered during normal office hours and within city limited. Exceptions to these time and
distance parameters will incur a charge of Dirhams 150.
11) Natural Termination:
a) On the termination date of the lease contract, the lessee undertakes to return the lease vehicle to IMPALA in a condition
compatible with the age of the vehicle and kilometers driven. IMPALA reserves the right to charge the lessee without prior
notification for any repairs that are not considered fair wear and tear, and for steam cleaning should the car be in soiled
condition.
b) After the committed lease period, IMPALA reserves the right to cancel the lease without prior notification the lessee.
c) In the event that IMPALA has no objection to extending the lease, IMPALA will continue billing untill such time as a fax
or telex addressed to IMPALA is received stating intended date and time of return of the lease vehicle.
12) Premature Termination:
The lessee acknowledges that should the lease vehicle be returned before the termination date provided in the contract, then
the lessee will be liable to pay IMPALA a penalty which is equal to the minimum of either three months lease charges or
charges to the termination date.
13) Additional Drivers:
Additional drivers can only be accepted following submission of the relevant driving licences and passport copies. And are
subject to IMPALA driver qualification requirements in accordance with UAE law.
14) Breach of contract:
Any breach of any of these Terms and Conditions can result in IMPALA repossessing the car without prior notice.
